UvAMUN 2021-22’s overarching theme was “Policy for People”.

It was explored through three committee, which each had a specific focus. These were the UN General Assembly (UNGA), the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), and the UN Security Council Crisis Committee (UNSCC). The committee’s topics were:

UNGA: Preparing Africa for the Population Boom

UNHCR: Revising the 1951 Refugee Convention in light of the Ukraine Conflict

UNSC: The secession of Flanders from the Belgian state
